| Shenzhen to raise minimum wage | ||
|
Shenzhen will adjust its minimum wage effective from 1 July 2008. The minimum wage of Futian, Luohu, Yantian and Nanshan District will be RMB$1,000/month, an increase of 17.6%. For Baoan and Longgang District, it will be RMB$900/month, increased by 20%. | ||

| Canada to tighten rules on BPA for babies' bottles | ||
|
While the Canadian ministers of Health and of the Environment jointly announced in April that "Canada is the first country in the world to complete a risk assessment of Bisphenol A in consultation with industry and other stakeholders", the Canadian government proposes to ban polycarbonate baby bottles. |
