This year, more than 3,500 exhibitors from all over the world participated in 2005 Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair. The four-day sourcing gala spanning from 28 April to 1 May attracted a total of 54,853 buyers and visitors, half of whom came from overseas countries. This year, the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association Pavilion played host to 495 member exhibitors, a slight increase of 2.7% from 2004. In celebrating the 20thanniversary of the fair and the 50thanniversary of the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association, the HKEA booth was specially decorated to bring out the spirit ofcelebration and to display the winning designs of the HKEA 50th Anniversary Souvenir Design Competition to give the winners due recognition. During the fair period, the Secretariat gave away complimentary copies of the 2005 first issue of “Exporters’ Bulletin” and “Exporters’ Bulletin - Fair Edition’, a sourcing guide replete with useful fair information and product advertisements.
