The Hong Kong Exporters・ Association 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner came to a successful end amid the joys and applauses of guests. In the pleasant company of Honorary Chairmen, Chairman and HKEA General Committee members, senior government officials, legislative councilors, consular generals, trade organizations, business partners and associates joined in to celebrate the Association・s 50th anniversary at the Gala Dinner that took place in Continental Hong Kong on 13 May. More than 450 guests attended the dinner and shared the joys with us. After a short remark by Mr Cliff K. Sun to welcome the Guest of Honour, the Honourable Donald Tsang, and all guests. The dinner was formally kicked off with a lighting ceremony officiated by Mr Cliff K. Sun and the Acting Chief Executive, followed by a group photo session of the GC members with the Guest of Honour and a toasting ceremony. Three companies, Abdoolally Ebrahim & Co. (HK) Limited, Davie Boag (Exports) Limited and Li & Fung (Trading) Limited received trophies of the Loyal Members・ Award. Mr Ivan Ting, Vice Chairman of the HKEA and Chairman of the 50th Anniversary Organizing Committee was invited to present awards to the winners of the HKEA 50th Anniversary Souvenir Design Competition. Moments of solemnity were diluted by spectacular musical performances by the Diocesan Boys・ School
Choir and ：The Three Waiters； from Australia. All guests had a wonderful time, and took home with them not only fond memories of the event, but also more substantially a kit containing a copy of the HKEA 50th Anniversary Commemorative Booklet, a souvenir of a stationery gift set and a table prize.
