In view of the great trade prospects in the Eastern European bloc, the HKEA and HKTDC jointly organized a business partnership mission to set for Budapest, Prague and Warsaw. Led by the HKEA Honorary Chairman, Mr Cliff K. Sun, JP, the mission, which consisted of 24 people from 18 companies, aimed to explore business opportunities for the delegates in the local houseware, gifts, electronics and toy markets. The trade delegation visited local trade associations, manufacturers, importers and major retail chains and successfully established business contacts with the local companies. Business matching was arranged between the delegates and local buyers in each city throughout the trip, allowing the Hong Kong delegates to introduce their companiesˇ¦ products to the buyers. The mission measured up to the delegatesˇ¦ expectations. According to our observation, buyers in Eastern Europe are fond of Hong Kongˇ¦s products and have a particular interest in our electronics products.
