The HKEA and HKTDC jointly organized a business partnership mission from 14 to 18 September 2006 to visit St. Petersburg and Moscow in Russia to help Hong Kong exporters explore business opportunities in this emerging market for household, gift and electronics products. Led by the HKEA Chairman, Mr. Tom Tang, JP, the mission consisted of 17 delegates from 13 companies. The mission consisted of a series of events including briefing sessions by the local government trade offices and representatives from HSBC Moscow office on Russia’s latest economic development and business environment, visits to local retail scenes and networking activities with the local business communities. Business matching was arranged between the delegates and local buyers in both cities during the trip. This allowed our Hong Kong delegates to introduce their products to the buyers and increase their chance of securing orders.

Moscow	Briefing of the Russian economy, market and foreign investment situation by representatives from HSBC Moscow office
	Visit to Gorbushka Electronics Centre – the largest distribution centre of electronics in Eastern Europe
	Networking luncheon with major importers of consumer electronics, gifts & premium and houseware items. Mission leader, Mr. Tom Tang, delivered a welcome speech at the luncheon.
