The 52nd Annual General Meeting

The 52nd Annual General Meeting of The Hong Kong Exporters’ Association (HKEA) came to a successful end on 5 October 2006. 15 individuals with the highest votes were elected as voting members of the General Committee according to the HKEA’s Memorandum and Articles of Association and another 2 individuals were appointed as co-opted members.

The Annual Report 2005 and the Audited Financial Statement of the Association for the year ended 31st December 2005 were approved and endorsed by the members at the meeting. The General Committee also re-appointed CCIF CPA Limited as the Association’s honorary auditor at the meeting for the financial year 2006. The Association also resolved that the membership fee in year 2007 would be maintained at the current level at HK$2,500 for full members and HK$1,600 for associate members on top of a one-off entrance fee of HK$1,000.

In the 1st General Committee Meeting of the term 2006/2007, Mr. Tom C Y Tang, JP has been re-elected the Chairman of the Association and will continuously lead the HKEA to achieve the commitment of safeguarding the interests and progressing the business opportunities of its member exporters.
